Being just me

I choose, I decide
No I didn't prioritize
Folding clothes
Cooking
House keeping.

I wrote verses.
My apologies
For fresh fruit,
Salad meals
And just washed
Unfolded, unironed
Clothes.

I deliberated
Over lyrics,
Rhythm, rhymes
And word tricks.

To sweetly suggest
Being a woman
I can multi-task
Comes with a risk:

I need my rest,
My 'me-time',
To hum my rhyme.

What I can,
What I will,
What I won't
I decide,
You don't.
Me-time is MINE
